LEAD inspection

The Code de la Santé Publique (article L.1334-5) imposes to the owners the realization of a lead inspection ('diagnostic plomb') prior to selling a dwelling:

built before 1948,
located in a lead exposure zone delimited by the prefect (all the departments in Ile-de-France area are classified as exposed to lead infection, as well as the Oise department since the 01/09/2003).

The degradated lead containing materials release dust whose ingestion or inhalation can provoke intoxication with irreversible effects on the children (intellectual deficiency).

Leads that are present in the old housing are mainly located in the paintings and pipes.
